Creating a Positive Learning Environment with Adult Learners

Establishing a caring connection and nurturing positive relationships with students is an important part of the learning process, and a key factor in creating a positive learning environment. I selected, Setting the Climate for Effective Teaching and Learning, as a lesson planning resource because I wanted to remember to include the three “R’s” (relationships) of creating a positive learning environment. Being intentional about creating a positive learning environment and nurturing relationships enhances the learning experience. When instructors create an atmosphere of trust and collaboration, they can do their best teaching. When learners are disentangled, they can do their best learning.
