Assessment – The Role of Feedback in Adult Education

The role of feedback in adult education is an important part of the learning process. Informal feedback is a great way to check in with learners to ensure things are on track, and if not, make adjustments to get them back on track, both for the learner and the instructor. I selected the Humber Centre for Teaching & Learning website as a resource for many things, but in particular it outlines several different ways to provide and collect feedback when working with adults. Including opportunities to collect and provide feedback in lessons will improve my skills as an instructor because it will give me the opportunity to respond to feedback, and recalibrate appropriately.
